Hi Janet,
Am just doing some family tree research on the Beethams from here in London and stumbled across Great Aunt Aila's shortbread recipe from your blog (which is really great btw).
please say hi to Ricki from me.
Last time I saw him was in Nigel and Andrea's Mustang.

Hi Janet NZ!

I could not find out how to contact you, so I decided to leave a comment in the hopes you will read it. It does not relate to your blog, which I came to from a link of a comment you left in the "Mark's Daily Apple" site. You left the comment there about a year ago (It's May 19, 2012).

You said in your comment that you had a problem with night time hot flashes which occurred when you rolled over or moved in bed, and your doctor was skeptical. Well, please be reassured to know that I get the SAME thing - movement at night brings on the horrible hot flashes, constantly waking me up. It is total hell. I hope you have found a solution. Maybe one day I will too. In the meantime, take care, Bonnie North, from Barrie, Ontario, Canada

Bonnie! I just found your comment (I moved my blog to wordpress, so didn't check this one)
I'm so pleased I am not the only one experiencing this... I'd love to keep in touch - would you like to leave your email address?? XO

Toby! I have just found your comment! I switched my blog (thank you for the kind remark) to Wordpress, and haven't checked Blogger in ages!
I remember meeting you at Nigel and Andrea's... ages ago...
Please may I tell you... if I find you have told ANY family of what I said about Aila.... I will HUNT YOU DOWN :-)
I suspect you understand, but (as you know) there are family members who may not...
I loved her very much, but it was often difficult...
BUT, her shortcake was FANTASTIC!
I hope you find this and we can keep in touch
I will check here more regularly
XO
